Color: platinum with greenish halftones, oily viscous structure in the glass.
Aromas: sweet warm honey, earth and clay notes, herbs, fruit acidity.
Palate: soft, smooth with rich ash, warm hints of herbs and minerals.
Aftertaste: long, sweet with herbal and mineral notes.

The 12-year-ripened agaves are roasted in a wood-fired, stone-lined pit, then crushed by hand with large hammers, and fermented with naturally occurring yeasts in wooden tanks. Double distilled in clay pots.
Raisija is essentially mezcal, only made in the tequila region of Jalisco. It can be produced from a variety of wild or cultivated agaves, with great differences in the surrounding environment, equipment and production methods. All this gives the distillate a fragrant, unique spectrum of taste and expression.
